Collaborations with other platforms
Design Breakfast was initiated in Finland during the World Design Capital year 2012. It was created so that visiting artists and design studios could gather together for open communication between cross-disciplinary creatives of all ages and backgrounds. We meet for a mutual breakfast and enjoy topic discussions led by both, renowned and young researchers and design practitioners.
Design Breakfast collaboration and co-production with 3rdHand resulted as one of major side events cross-connecting The Biennial of Independent Illustration 2013 and Design Biotop event. The topic exposed was presenting Finnish Contemporary Scene to Slovenian public by new technologies and digital works.
Design breakfast was founded by Finnish designer Marion Robinson, who was missing a platform for sharing open knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. She currently runs her creative studio in London.
